How to Organize a Custom Motocross Team Jersey Order

Short answer: Put one person in charge, select the design and available garment options first, then collect one locked roster containing each rider's size, printed name, number, and any product-specific sleeve choice. Submit the final artwork once, check the emailed proof against that roster, and plan around 3–5 business days for production plus an estimated 7–15 business days for U.S. transit. Dawson has no minimum order, but accurate personalization matters because non-faulty personalized items cannot be returned or exchanged.

Start with one coordinator and one roster

A group chat is useful for discussion but unreliable as the final order record. Appoint one coordinator to collect choices, settle conflicts, place the order, and review the proof. That person should maintain one roster that the team can read but not casually overwrite after the deadline.

Create one row per rider with these fields:

  • roster name or other clear identifier;
  • exact printed name, including capitalization and punctuation;
  • exact rider number;
  • garment option, but only from the options shown on the selected product;
  • unisex size from S–5XL;
  • left- and right-sleeve choices, when the product exposes them; and
  • a final confirmation marker from the rider.

Keep “no name,” “no number,” and “no sleeve tag” as explicit choices rather than empty cells. A blank can otherwise mean either “nothing should print” or “the rider has not replied.”

Lock the product and design before collecting choices

Browse Dawson's custom motocross jerseys and agree on the actual product before asking for sizes. The available cut and garment choices vary by product. A roster built around one garment cannot automatically be transferred to another without checking its live options and size chart.

Dawson's motocross and dirt bike designs currently offer seven garments: t-shirts, long sleeves, polos, sweatshirts, hoodies, zip hoodies, and tank tops. Confirm the options on the product you choose before collecting sizes. For a broad view, browse the dirt bike jersey range, then use only the choices displayed on the final product page.

Collect sizes with a shared method

Do not ask only, “What size do you normally wear?” Dawson's public sizing guidance uses flat-lay garment measurements and allows about a 1-inch production tolerance. Ask each person to compare the relevant measurements with a similar garment that already fits the way they want.

The published range is unisex S–5XL. Record the chosen size in the master roster only after the rider has checked the live chart. This creates a clear decision trail without inventing a universal fit rule.

Confirm quantity and current order thresholds

There is no minimum, so a single replacement or one-person order is possible. For a larger roster, Dawson's current published discounts apply automatically at checkout:

  • 5% off from 5 items;
  • 10% off from 10 items; and
  • 15% off from 15 items.

Count confirmed riders before placing the order, but do not add unwanted items merely to reach a tier. Also treat the shipping threshold separately from item quantity. Standard U.S. shipping is currently $5.99 for orders of $85 or less and free for orders over $85.

If a late rider joins, compare the consequences of waiting against placing a separate no-minimum order. The public terms do not promise that a later order will share the same production or delivery schedule.

Prepare artwork and personalization together

Use one approved logo or finished artwork package. The logo upload field accepts PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF, AI, EPS, and WEBP files up to 20MB; vector artwork or a transparent PNG at least 1000 pixels wide generally gives the best source. If the file is not ready during checkout, the published process includes an email-after-order option.

Organize clear logo files, then identify the correct logo version and the varying rider details. Dawson emails a free digital proof before printing. The proof is where the coordinator should compare the visual layout against the locked roster, not where the group starts a new design discussion.

Check every name and number character by character. Confirm the logo, colors, front and back orientation, and any sleeve-specific selection. Do not approve until discrepancies have been resolved.

Plan backward from the event date

Dawson products are made to order by third-party fulfillment partners, and shipments may originate internationally, including China. Current public estimates are 3–5 business days for production after design approval, followed by 7–15 business days in transit to U.S. addresses. The shipping policy expresses the combined estimate as 10–20 business days from design approval to delivery.

These are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates. Carrier, customs, weather, or destination delays may occur. Build a buffer ahead of a race weekend, trip, or team photo instead of treating the last day of the estimate as a promise. Read the live shipping policy before setting the team's deadline.

Tracking is emailed when the order ships, and the first carrier scan may take several business days to appear. Keep the order number and tracking message with the roster so the coordinator has one complete record.

Run a final pre-order audit

Before checkout, read the roster aloud with a second person. Confirm the product, garment choice, size, name, number, artwork version, item count, shipping address, and contact email. Then preserve that final copy and use it again when the proof arrives.

The current policy allows a free cancellation request within six hours of ordering, but requests after six hours cannot be accepted because production may have begun. Non-faulty personalized items are not eligible for return or exchange, including customer selection errors. Wrong, damaged, or defective items follow the claim process in Dawson's refund policy.
